| Kids to Kids International Exchange Project (short for Kids to Kids) is an exchange project among global children initiated by Can-share Connection Inc.(Canada) (short for CSC Canada). On Febrary 13th ,2004, as the pilot school of this project, TaoYuan primary school in Dalian, China started a 13-day visit to Canada. During this period of time, 40 teachers and students took part in colorful face to face communication activities: having lessons in classroom in Canada to experience different learning atmospheres; living in Canadian children's homes to experience different life styles; listening to Expert's lecture in second class to experience different highlights. Haute-Yamaska, Mr. Guy Racine, the area director of and mayor of Granby, came and joined the communication activities happily with Chinese children, and asked the children as distinguished guests to sign their names in the Book of City Visitors.
With the help of Dalian Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, Dalian Association For International Exchange of Personnel (DAIEP) and support from CSC Canada, the activity was very successful. |

Through this activity the understanding between two countries was increased, cooperation and exchanges in culture, education, art, economy and other relative fields were carried out. On 12th of April Mr. Deren Xia, the mayor of Dalian city received a letter from Mr Guy Racine, the portreeve of Haute-Yamaska and Granby, in which he expressed hopes of long-term cooperation. Mr. Xia immediately gave a sanction as "Continue the friendly exchanges", invited Canadian friends to Dalian and wished to start a new situation through the efforts of both sides . |
